First you have to choose what dou you want to edit: Home Screen or Color Scheme.
In most cases you will edit the Home Screen.
Select the file from the list.

Now you can go to the section "New color". Everytime select "what item" you want to edit and "what color" you want to have. Then Press Apply to save the changes. Repeat this for every item you want to replace.

Enabled "Text" = You change the text color on the Home Screen
Enabled "Text" + "Highlighted / Selected item" = You change the text color of selected item (the active one) on the Home Screen

Enabled "System" = You change the system color (top and bottom bar)
Enabled "System" + "Highlighted / Selected item" = You change the color of selected item (the active one) on the Home Screen and in system menu

+ "Disable gradient" can be used only with "System" - this option makes "solid colors" with no gradient
