Hi,

looks very interessting
Can't wait to try it later i'm @ Home

Can give me a hint, on base of which documentation did you wrote the application?
Where did you get the information how to connect to the watch and what commands to send?

What programming language are you using for this app? ;)

I know thats a lot of questions, but i'm very interessted in software developing and hope i can write somehing similar for testing purpose by my self in a future time

Thanks and regards

There's no useful documentation (except some parts of AT Commands pdf from Sony Ericsson). I reverse engineered the connection between the watch and SE phone.

I'm using .NET with 32feet.NET (library for Bluetooth) for both Windows and Windows Mobile (and Java for Android and BlackBerry).

Thanks for the app. Works great on Windows 7 x64 with MBW-150, using WIDCOMM stack. Version tested v0.1.0.3 (20091108).

Thanks for the feedback. I tested it only on 32-bit Widcomm and 64-bit MS BT Stack. Good to hear it works with 64-bit Widcomm.

Hi,

just tried the apps.

Works great on Windows 7 x64 with MS-BT-Stack.

But unfortunetly i can't control Winamp (5.56) even the control is set to multimedia

Btw. how did you reverse engineered the BT Communication between the watch and the Phone? I was look for something like an BT-Sniffer but didn't found anything usefull.

You have to turn on Multimedia keys support in Winamp:

Thank you very much for your donation.

Sorry, currently I do not plan to release it as open source. However the client for Dynawa watch (released in the future) will be 100% open source.

The bluetooth integration with my bluetooth enabled HP 6710b laptop (XP SP3) sounds like it would be too cool a feature to have working with my Sony MBW-150.

However after downloading the executable and running it, I am getting a huge error message screen. Thinking that I have not created a partnership between the watch and laptop, I tried pairing the watch to my laptop using the laptop's pairing feature to no avail. Yes, both bluetooth radios are on - the laptop's and watch. Both are in discovery mode.

When I click start on the smartmadsoft UI, I get the error message "Microsoft bluetooth stack not supported (radio) plus what looks like about 30 lines of messages.

I downloaded and installed the 32bit file, which my OS is a 32 bit.

Any ideas how to fix this? I would like to have this running by Tuesday Jan 11th as I have a powerpoint presentation I need to prepare.

Thanks

I've uploaded updated version. OpenWatch relies on 3rd party component to use BT on the PC so there not much I can do if it doesn't work.
If it still won't work, could you take a snapshot of the error? Do you know what BT stack is on your PC (Microsoft or Widcomm) or could you just take a another snapshot of the BT manager?

I get the same error now after upgrading to v0.1.0.4 "Microsoft Bluetooth stack not supported (radio)". Everything was running great on v0.1.0.3. I'm using Windcomm v6.2.1.0100 and running on Windows 7 x64.

There was major change in the BT library. Can you locate "wbtapi.dll" somewhere on your PC? It's required now but it's not bundled with OpenWatch since it's not part of the Widcomm SDK (unlike btwapi.dll).

Found "wbtapi.dll" and copied the file to the install folder of OpenWatch. I can confirm it works now. Thanks.

Great app! Win7x64 + (i think) Broadcom (HP integrated module) works perfectly with mbw-150

I get the "Microsoft Bluetooth stack not supported (radio)" errormessage when I click start. I have already copied wbtapi.dll from system32 dir, but it doesn't helps.

I remember something of my Logitech drivers replacing the original Microsoft/Widcomm drivers. But where can I download them again?
