I use smartwatchm on my windows mobile phone (HTC Universal).
I am also interested in sending commands to apps on my netbook with openwatch.

Watches can only be paired with one device can't they? So if I want to use both openwatch and smartwatchm I have to keep pairing the watch with smartphone or PC, is that correct?

But of course I can connect my smartphone to the PC using activesync.

Could smartwatchm use the activesync connection to send commands to openwatch? The activesync could be a USB cable or bluetooth connection. I guess you could write a mortscript on the PC to look for files (with commands) sent by scripts on the smartphone. Or perhaps you can send commands directly to openwatch, I don't know if that is possible?

Maybe that is a way to use openwatch and smartwatchm together without changing the pairing of the watch with PC or smartphone?

Yes, you can pair and connect SE MBW with just one device at a time. (This will not be a issue with the upcoming Dynawa BT watch.)

Sure, such this is possible but this is too much for this (free) project.

1) Wait for Dynawa

2) You could use your watch to control software on your phone to control your desktop (gremote?).
