I have another problem: When a SMS arrives, the message starts scrolling for 1-2 seconds, then stops, then starts again scrolling from the beginning (i see only the sender of the message), but after a few seconds the display switch off and i cannot read the end of the messege. Version 0.3.1
Oh sorry. I see, this feature works also since 0.3.2. Before i used the watch with the N97 with SIC!BtWatch Software. So i was the text of the message usual.

The 2 line font looks good, but...
Is this correct? Only the first 45 characters of a SMS are display, then the scrolling ends. Version 0.3.2 Is it possible to see the whole message?

That's why it's called "text preview".

Hi,
Amazed how quick you got this working.
Any chance later down the line there could be a toggle for full font size and whole message scrolling, as in the se/sic implementation?
Text gets a bit small after a few beers...

I hope there will be some settings so we can modify the text display, and how much of the text we want to display.. i just use my beer bottle to see trough, works almost everytime.. most of the time I can't because kids are steeling my beer botles to sell them for gumballs

There will be some toggle in the future. But definitely no scrolling message since it not possible on MBW-150 Update/MBW-200 (different firmware).

Use beer bottle as magnifying glass isn't such bad idea.

Works like a charm! I love your work :P Tested with pidgin (msn), doesnt work, but its not installed with plugin against the internal IM (contacts) system. Perhaps it works if I do that..

Would be great if you could implement the openwatch program into the statusbar (or hide it somehow), so I dont need to have it open in my multitask screen all the time

This will be available in the next version.

Moneytoo,
Just want to say how impressed I am with the speed of your development. I almost feel guilty for not having bought the N900 - reason being that there is some other software I'm dependent on that won't run on it. Unfortunately. So looks like it's WinMo for me. I will follow the development here nevertheless.

OpenWatch window is no longer required to run. The window is now used only for configuration (currently enable/disable start on boot).

I'm using N900 but I'm thinking of switching back to WM. Having 48 GB for music and video (even the sound quality is pretty good - comparing to other phones), skype, good camera and the browser experience is great but I miss some features...
- no call recording
- e-mail client is slow and does not sync automatically (can't connect to internet itself) so you have to be online all the time to receive emails
- no way to use it (take a note for example) in one hand

Thanks for the feedback!
Maemo doesn't have voice dialing through bluetooth headset either, but as they said it's step 4 out of 5...and Nokia's switching over to MeeGo (Step 6). For me the killer is an app I really need to be productive and until a useable alternative is available I can't switch.
Regardless, I still find the N900 an awesome device and I may get on board in the next gen as there will be more software coming out. Your software for the BT watch really makes a difference. Any phone I get has to have it.

Just one quick idea: "maemo-python-device-env" should be automagically installed (on the list of depends packages) on installation, if it is required

Hi everybody! I bought today my N900 and I have a MBW-150 BT watch. Could somebody help me how I shall install OpenWatch? I downloaded the openwatch.install and I tried to start the installation on my N900. I got an error message: Unable to download 'openwatch'. Application package not found.
Sorry if my question is too stupid but this is really very new for me. Thanks a lot in advance.
