Another platform, another port...

Requirements
- Maemo 5.0 device with telephony functions (Nokia N900)
- Bluetooth watch (currently supported Fossil/Abacus, Sony Ericsson MBW-100/150/200)


Installation
1. Install OpenWatch (from extras-devel)
2. Pair your watch with N900 and restart the device
3. After boot turn on the watch or press a button to connect


Features
- Time sync
- SMS notification (phone number/name and text preview)
- IM notifications - Skype/ICQ/GTalk/MSN... (username/name and text preview)
- Call notification (phone number or name)
- Call rejection
- Media player control (pause/play, next, prev, volume up/down)
- Music track info (track title and artist)
- Unread SMS/IM count, battery percentage
- Customizable screen (line1.sh, line2.sh) info
- API info


To Do
- E-mail notification (?)
- Skype call notification (?)
- calendar/alarm reminder (?)

I will add call notification and other stuff in the next step. I just need to confirm that it works.

this is the error I'am getting

by the way the dbus-python should be python-dbus

I'm getting the same error as djxfma

Maybe i'm doing something wrong, i've installed some of the python apps in Application manager and did just like djxfma using xterminal and got the same error,

is there anything else i need to download and if so could someone please point me in the right direction ?

There were some errors in the first version. I had to buy N900 to test it.
Now I have SMS working. I will add call notifications and release it. Then the other stuff.

you just bought a N900 for testing lol! Good to hear you trying so well on this applet it wasn't a big error tough. Could have fixed myself if I had the source. I am an programmer to. Maybe not with the same expertice but it will do.

I just downloaded the new OpenWatch 0.2 Maemo, did exactly as instructed, and i still get the same error as posted by djxfma

it indeed isn't working yet, but my guess is that this is an old version? And the new one ain't released yet. Or does it need OpenWatch.py?

I see you alreadymgot some more stuff working

I just had an error. I received a phone call and after I hung up or was it the other party. But anyway the script didn't work anymore after cancelling the script and a fresh start of the script it started working again.

The best part is that other notifications (email/im/skype/...) are so easy to add (at least I think).

i am running the script all day long now didn't had any more problems! Looking forward to the next release!!
