I'm afraid there are no plans for Symbian because making such application for this platform is way harder.

You might try installing it on the Meizu. It could work if the device is designed as a phone and has all needed libraries (for notification support). I tested it on one Win CE device but it didn't work because of missing libraries. But you can give it a try...

There already is a app for Symbian but it does not work too good http://www.sic-software.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=25&Itemid=20 &lang=en

Since Symbian is the only capable wide-spread mobile OS, I'm considering developing for this platform. I don't know if or when but I'm definitely interested...

I heard something about Python for Symbian. http://www.forum.nokia.com/Tools_Docs_and_Code/Tools/Runtimes/Python_for_S60/

Could it be possible to run the OpenWatch Python linux script on Symbian?

After looking at the Python modules and API it seems that theoretically it could be possible.
There's just one little possible problem but I will run some samples in the next week and see if the watch connects.

THANX smartmadsoft!! You dont even know how long I waited to see this answer!!
It's really nice that you finally try to launch your solution on symbian phones..and as you said, Symbian is the largest community so it could be a huge market for you..

So thank you for all you already have done and be sure we'll support you!

Do you use or did you use SIC! BT-Watch on Symbian? Any pros and cons?

Yup..but having the N97 and the Prada Link, it seems to only work with SE watches..The bluetooth symbol doesn't glow as written in the user's guide. Plus, I'm not sure of the compatibility with S60v5 phones.

Has someone already succeeded pairing the N97 and the Prada Link?

Symbian is not out of the box compatible with Prada Link and currently there's no tool for this.

It works ok, except for no compatibility with the standard music player, mobbler or other music apps on Symbian 5th. And it loses the connection a lot and does not reconnect in my case. (N97 mini with MBW-150 classic)

Could it be easier now to make a version for Symbian because it's opensource now?
