Thanks for the info Oscarv77.

I was wondering if you could provide some more details on how you soldered the wires to the new battery without using the solder through holes on the tabs since you removed them. Do you have any pictures of the battery after the solder work? Also, would I be able to just cut the wires and resolder them to the new battery or do I have to desolder from the old battery? I've never soldered before, but after watching some youtube vids i think i can pull it off. I'll do anything to get my mbw-150 back into working condition!!

Is it a general problem in it because i am seeing many of you are asking for the solution. One of my friend is also asking the same question and the only reason for coming here is that i am here to get the solution for himself.

Hi Oscarv77,

Thanks for the reply. From your email I conclude that a simple cell (which is not re-chargeable) should also work with the watch.
Can u pls let me know some model number with company name which will resolve the purpose. Currently, I am in India.

Thanks.
Abhishek

Helle everyone, i have just ordered a large number of lir2430 lithium watch batteries which are compatable with the mbw-100/150/200 sony ericsson watches, they have tabs at a zero degree angle and just need the connector and cables soldered on to complete. I have been trying to buy a battery for the watch for a month now and the cheapest and really only place i could get it was from the us company the battery store, and it would work out around 70 or 80 pounds for 1! If anyone is intrested please email me and i can sell you one and possible even solder cables on if you send the battery to me for a small fee. UK or Europe welcome Email me at robinedmunds@aol.com

Cheers Robin

Will the CR2430 work in place of PD2430? This is non-rechargeable battery of 3.0 V.
One of the local watch repair shopkeeper told me that 0.7 V is just fof recharging capability. So 3.0 V will work. Pls let me know what you guys think. The link for the battery is below-

Should I try this out?

Thanks,
Abhishek

Hi Dan,

dan@thebatterystore

Well I tried ordering, registered, provided you with all the required info, such as email, phone etc, then when I proceed to order your website says you don't ship to my country in Europe. You should state upfront which countries you ship to, so that I don't have to a) provide you with my personal information and b) waste my time.

A final note, Dan, your website doesn't allow removal of the profile either. I ask you remove it immediately unless you change your mind about shipping.

Thanks.

I live in Sweden and want to buy this battery as well.
Yesterday I sent an e-mail to TheBatteryStore and today I got an answer:
They have the battery in stock, but there is no other way to ship it due to the fact that parcel services don't accept to ship lithium batteries (probably safety concerns).
Shall we order batteries together in order to share the shipping cost?

Hi,

I have 3 replacement batteries for the MBW-100/150 in stock in Germany. If someone is interested, please send me a pm. Shipping through Europe is no problem.

Have a good day,

Jan

Edit: Well, since I am pretty new to this board, I think I just found out that there is no pm function.

So please send me an email to: janrohweder [at] inbox [.] com
